Niger Tornadoes will be all out to consolidate their relegation survival with another three points against relegation-threatened Heartland on the penultimate game of the season.
The Ikon Allah boys who have been playing in Kaduna for the most part of the season will hope to take maximum points again in their final game at the stadium as they have done 8 times this season.
One player who is known to both sides is Jonas Emmanuel who moved from the Naze millionaires to Tornadoes in the mid-season transfer.
Sharing his thoughts on facing his immediate former side where he scored three times before departing with the Niger Tornadoes media, Jonas said it is a must-win for his side.
“My take is to win at all cost, no matter what. It’s a must-win for me. I was with them last season, but now I am with another team. The heartland team is hungry, a very good side with young players like the Tornadoes team, but one thing with the Tornadoes team is that we are relentless and hungrier. I’m sure we are definitely going to win the game God willing.”
The attacker has contributed 9 goals for Tornadoes with 4 goals and providing 5 assists since joining said the confidence put him by the coaches is his inspiration.
“Confidence from the Technical Team; that has really helped me, they kept pushing me and I’ve been working tirelessly on how to improve on that aspect I.e finishing. I hope to continue that form against Heartland.”
In the reverse fixture, Jonas netted the match-winner for Heartland and will be out to hurt his former employers this time and to increase his total goal tally of 7 before the season ends.
Tornadoes who won 3 games out of 4 games with the recent win a 2-1 win in Ijebu-Ode to condemn MFM FC to relegation.
