It took a last day miracle for Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC to survive relegation in the just concluded NPFL 2022 season.
The Oluyole Warriors had to wait for a Katsina United defeat to ensure their stay in topflight for another season while they got beat by Kano Pillars in Kano on the last day.
Despite not losing any game on home soil through out the season, the Ibadan club could only accumulate 5 points away from home.
With their NPFL status confirmed for next season, attacker Moses Omoduemeke has come out to thank the fans of the club for their support throughout the season.
Omoduemeke wrote on his Twitter handle:
“We kept fighting and got it. We never do it the easy way. What a result to end a season of ups and downs..no matter what we’ll always give our all for this club and fight until the very end. Thanks for sticking with us through thick and thin.”
“This couldn’t have been done without the support of everyone..We truly are Marching On Together! Up shootings.” He finished.
Moses finished the highest goal scorer for the Oluyole Warriors after he scored 6 times for them.
His goals came against Enyimba, Niger Tornadoes, Plateau United, Rivers United and a brace against Rangers that ensured the 2-2 draw in Awka.
Moses and Shooting Stars will now have a chance in the NPFL next season to perform better than they have this season to make their fans happier.
