A 3-0 win for Remo stars against Sunshine Stars meant the club returned to winning ways after their defeat in Aba against Enyimba Int’l and coach Gbenga Ogunbote says he saw the win coming.
“It’s a good one for us. I saw it coming after our last training. I did preach to my boys and I told them it was the first time I will be facing them (Sunshine) and I’ll like if they could do me the honor,” he told Sports247.
The coach also spoke on the return on young prospect Morgan Agbeko and how it affected the selection.
“We looked at it, we needed stability in the game and we felt those are the players who could give us that and they did so in the first half,” he said.
“Andy coming on was strange to them and by the time they knew what was happening, he was able to handle the situation perfectly.”
“Remo has a structure. When he (Morgan) was injured and recuperating, we had to send him to the junior team, he had some games there so he had some match fitness whilst also training with the senior team. I had to bring him in because I felt he was ready and I’m happy he did not disappoint because he’s a plus to the team,” he concluded.
