Energetic Kwara United captain Chris Nwaeze has stated clearly that he and his teammates are fully prepared to face Kano Pillars on Wednesday in the NPFL matchday 16 clash.
Kano Pillars will be going into this game at their adopted ground in Kaduna with wounded hearts having suffered an embarrassing defeat in their last game against Abia Warriors.
Kwara United on the other hand will seek redemption in Kaduna having drawn their last home game against Heartland in Ilorin.
Kano Pillars have failed to get a win in their last three games, while Kwara United have won once in their last five games with Biffo and his men getting perfect points in Bauchi against Wikki.
However, Biffo and his wards must have it at the back of their minds ahead of this duel that Kano Pillars have never lost a home game against the Ilorin-based club.
In fact, Kwara United’s last visit to Kano on December 8, 2019, ended in a painful 6-1 defeat for the Harmony Boys.
These two giants have met 15 times with Kano Pillars having 7 wins while Kwara United have 6 victories as the remaining two ties ended in draws.
Nwaeze who has been one of the best players for Kwara United this season explained that Kano Pillars will have to face the consequences of their draw at home against Heartland.
“I want to first tender an apology to all Kwarans for our failure to beat Heartland, and I want to assure all our fans that we are going to make them happy with a good results against Kano Pillars,” Nwaeze explained to Kwara United Media.
Meanwhile, Kwara United are still topping the NPFL table with 27 points after 15 games, while Kano Pillars occupy 5th with 24 points.
