NPFL Update: League Organizers Approves 11 Stadiums for Live TV Broadcasts in New Season

The Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced the approval of 11 stadiums for live television coverage during the 2024 season. The approved stadiums include:

  1. Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin
  2. Enyimba Int’l Stadium, Aba
  3. Remo Stars Int’l Stadium, Ikenne
  4. Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan
  5. Adokie Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt
  6. Umaru Dikko Stadium, Katsina
  7. Lafia Township Stadium, Lafia
  8. Godswill Akpabio Int’l Stadium, Uyo
  9. Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu
  10. Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos
  11. Ilorin Township Stadium, Ilorin

Teams whose venues were not selected must choose an alternative from the approved list.

If they fail to do so, the league will assign one for them. Additionally, clubs hosting night matches will receive a sum of N500,000 per match, deducted from their broadcast rights revenue at the end of the season.

The NPFL aims to ensure an equal distribution of live home matches to maintain fairness and balance in television coverage across the league
