The General Manager of Plateau United, Habila Hosea Mutla has revealed that the youth league has handed all the premier league sides the platform to encourage and promote young players.

Speaking to some section of the media in Benin City after the game between Rivers and Plateau United the soft spoken administrator hailed the leadership of the npfl board for staging a competition that will help reposition underage football in Nigeria.
“I will have to congratulate the npfl board for staging the very first Npfl U17 Youth League, a competition that will help in promoting young footballers”.
“This is the first of it’s kind and you can all see the quality displayed by all the clubs in Benin”.
“Our players have been together for over a year now and it is a good thing that U17 boys now have a tournament to call their own”.
“We will continue to give our support to make sure that the U17 Youth League achieve it’s aim of producing the next generation of Stars for Nigeria and as a team, Plateau United will see how they will gradually integrate these young ones into the main team”.
On what will be the target of his team, the Plateau United General Manager revealed that the mission is one and that is to win the inaugural edition of the npfl U17 Youth League.
“We are not here to make up the numbers, we are here to take home the giant trophy and trust me, no team will stop Plateau United, he concluded”.
