The Chairman of the Nasarawa State Football Association, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima, extended a warm welcome to the coordinators of the NPFL U17 youth league for the North Central zone.
In a brief ceremony held at the Lafia City Stadium, Galadima assured the league organizers of the state’s unwavering support throughout the tournament.

Addressing the coordinators and league officials, Galadima expressed his pleasure in hosting the event in Nasarawa State.
He emphasized the state’s commitment to supporting football development, despite the absence of its representative, Nasarawa United, in the top-tier league.
“I want to welcome you all to the beautiful state of Nasarawa as you begin the tournament. Be rest assured of our support,” Galadima stated.
He acknowledged the unfortunate absence of Nasarawa United from the NPFL but expressed optimism about the team’s return to the league in the future, including participation in the youth league.
As a symbol of appreciation, the high point of the ceremony was the presentation of the NPFL U17 youth league souvenir to the Nasarawa State FA Chairman by Zone Coordinator, Barr Paul Edeh.
The exchange of tokens signified the collaboration between the league organizers and the host state.
