Remo Stars defeated Shooting Stars 2-0 in the final of the NPFL-La Liga U15 promises final held at the Remo Stadium that saw them being crowned champions and two of their players picking up major awards at the presentation ceremony.
Striker Ariehi Kparabo picked up the top scorer award after his brace in the final saw him draw level and leapfrog the then top scorers in Ajayi Samuel of Shooting Stars and Miko Dalha of Gombe United to win the award.
Midfielder Ohamesi Chimezie also picked up the most valuable player award for his performance all tournament long which was also evident in the final as the lad made himself a menace in the middle.
The awards were presented in the presence of dignitaries such as the Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC) of the NPFL Mallam Shehu Dikko, 1st Vice-president of the NFF Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, and the president of the Nigeria Referee Association, Mr. Tade Azeez amongst others who grazed the occasion.
