The 4th edition of the NPFL-La Liga U15 promises came to a heightened end yesterday as Remo Stars U15 were crowned champions of the tournament for the first time.
The tournament which was held at the Remo Stars Stadium had the final played under floodlights on Sunday, 8th May 2022, as Remo Stars defeated neighbors Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan 2-0 courtesy of two goals from Ariehi Kparabo.
Remo Stars has finished top of their group with six points losing their last group game before going on to defeat MFM FC U15 2-1 in the quarter-finals and knockout Kano Pillars U15 in the semi-finals 2-0 before winning the final with the same scoreline to the delight of the crowd that came to Ikenne to witness the game.
Remo Stars join ABS FC U15 who won the trophy in 2017, the first edition, and Katsina United in 2019, and 2021 as the teams to have won the title in the history of the tournament.
