Clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) have been reminded that the ongoing domestic transfer window, which opened on the NPFL transfer window that opened on October 20 is expected to close on December 30.
Sports247.ng can report that the reminder was served by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) transfer matching system manager, Nasiru Jubril, who provided updates on the window.
Jubril announced that the first window for the 2018/2019 Season will end 24 hours before the last day of the month.
He, however, further disclosed that a second window for any team that may want to beef their squad will run from January 30 to February 28.
The only exceptions to the rule, according to the ex-international, would be for players who are out of contract before the window closed or before the window opens for registration.
Jubril added: “It is only within these periods that players can be registered or transferred locally, and from other countries to Nigeria.
“However, players are free to move from Nigeria to other countries as long as the windows in those countries are open.”
