The top scorer of the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League, Chijoke Akuneto, has received his award for being the highest goal scorer as well as N3.8million to go with it Sports247 reports.
The award which is sponsored by Eunisell, was organized by matchroom.com.ng to reward the player with the most goals in the league season presented Chijoke with the award and cash prize in a ceremony held on Wednesday, 14th September, 2022.
The former Golden Stars player, Chijoke, scored 19 goals for Rivers United as he helped the side to the first ever NPFL title alongside Ishaq Rafiu who has now moved to Slovenian side, NK Maribor.
