As the 2024/25 NPFL season comes to its crescendo, we have witness great saves and great moments from the league goalkeepers on home turfs and also during away matches.
Having interactive section with some of the goalkeeper’s trainers reveals that, more can be achieved if majority of the clubs in Nigeria employ the services of two to three trainers to help mould and nurture the goalkeepers during training section.

Also it was revealed that clubs having two or more goalkeepers trainer in the NPFL are not up to five in numbers.
Some of the complains revealed during the interaction section includes execution of training programs and sometimes having difficulty with going to see family for those that leave their family behind at a state to seek employment elsewhere.
Also the possibility of one timing in one person keeping up with three to four goalkeepers while in training without an assistant.
As thd saying goes, tei heads are better than one, i think its high time the club management look into this area and help with the needed assistance so that we can have the best out of our goalkeepers.
