Following the draw which pitted Remo Stars in the same group as Enyimba, fans knew that they will be thrilled with a nerve cracking encounter between two young managers and it didn’t live less of expectations as Remo Stars came from two goals down to salvage a point against Enyimba.
The two sides played out a goalless first half heading into the break but Enyimba broke the deadlock in the 60th minute but substitute Junior Lokosa’s 77th minute strike restored parity at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
Enyimba were beneficiary of a questionable penalty call and it was well converted by front man Chijioke Mbaoma to give Finidi George’s side the lead again.
However, Nduka Junior stabbed a dagger in thier hearts at the dying minutes of the match to salvage a point for his side after Enyimba had thought the job was done and dusted.
