President Royal Football Club of Lagos, Igbasan Opeyemi has congratulated the three clubs that would represent the country in the CAF tourneys.
Enyimba emerged the champions at the just concluded NPFL super six held in Lagos followed by Remo United as Rivers United occupied third position on the table.
Enyimba and Remo United would represent the country in the CAF Champions League, while former defending champions, Rivers United would feature the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Opeyemi in a statement commended the effort of the three clubs in the super six saying that the three teams deserved to represent the country at the continental level.
“Let me congratulate Enyimba, Remo United, and Rivers United for their qualifications on CAF tourneys. The three clubs are the best clubs in the country for now and I believe that they would go far in their continental tourneys. They played well and others also did well but in fairness, the three clubs deserved to represent us on the continent and I wish these clubs all the best in their outings.,” the statement reads.
Opeyemi who doubles as a chartered accountant also congratulated the Interim Management Committee IMC, for the success of the super six in Lagos and also described the tournament well organized which brought the best out of the participating teams.
Opeyemi, however, urged the IMC to sustain the perfect organization saying that if the organizers continue in this way, Nigeria club representatives would do well on the continent.
