As the second stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) resumed over the weekend, the Interim Management Committee (IMC) has not decided on the location for the NPFL Super Six.
The Super Six is a playoff of the top three teams, each from the two groups in the abridged league, with the best afterward being the league winner of the 2022/23 season.
The IMC is the body in charge of running the affairs of the NPFL.
IMC head of operations, Davidson Owumi however, said to Daiky Post that the league body has Abuja and Lagos in mind for the competition.
“We have not picked a location for the Super Six tourney. We have some venues in our mind that have no Premier League team,” Owumi stated.
“Abuja and Lagos are provisional venues in their minds.”
While the top three teams in Group A and B will battle for the trophy in the Super Six, the bottom two in each group will return to the second tier, the Nigeria National League.
