In connection with events that got match officials harassed against Nasarawa United on matchday 15, Sunshine Stars have suspended its Welfare Officer, Abdulrahman Abdulsalam.
The game played at the Akure Stadium could not conclude on the match day as match officials refused to step out for the second half of the game.
Later reports had it that the match officials had been harassed by supposed thugs in the stadium.
In a statement released via the club’s media through the media officer, Chris Okunnuwa, “Mr. Abdulrahman will remain suspended pending the outcome of the inquiry process with the Ondo State FA and stadium security personnel.”
The statement cleared that “A definite pronouncement will be made at the end of the investigation.”
The game ended 0-0 after it was concluded the morning after.
