NPFL Slams Sunshine Stars Official With 3- Match Ban For Making Unguarded Public Statement

The NPFL has slammed a three match ban on Sunshine Stars Welfare officer, Abdulrahman Abdulsalam for making unguarded public statements, Sports247 reports.
This is coming after an inquest into matchday 19 of the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL fixture between Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos
Abdulrahman Abdulsalam the welfare officer of the latter has been found guilty of breaching Framework and Rules of the competition.
According to the findings of the NPFL, Abdulsalam’s conduct, including unguarded public statements, infringed on the part of the regulations which mandates all participants to uphold professionalism and exemplary behaviour.
Consequently, a three match ban has been imposed on the Sunshine Stars official with immediate effect.
” Abdulsalam is hereby barred from all of Sunshine Stars’ activities connected to NPFL for the duration of the ban”, an official statement from the NPFL reads.
The body emphasised that the sanction is a corrective measure to ensure that all participants hold the league in high standards.
However, the Sunshine Stars Welfare officer has accepted the sanction in good faith and has tendered an apology for his actions
