Matchday 32 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) proved critical for many teams, one of which included Remo Stars, who were gradually drifting away from a chance to play on the continent next season till a 1-0 win over Gombe United got them back on track.
Remo Stars were searching for their first win in four games on the back of two losses and a draw, failing to win any game since they last defeated Rangers Int’l at home on Matchday twenty-eight.
The game was played without the fans due to LMC sanction for trouble in the game against Shooting Stars in Ibadan but that didn’t trouble the Sky Blues who eventually went in front in the first half through a header from man-in-form, Sikiru Alimi.
The win takes Remo Stars back to 4th on the table with 50 points, one behind 3rd placed Rangers Int’l as they travel to Uyo to face Akwa United.
