Kwara United defensive maestro, Taiwo Salaudeen has stated with high hopes that Kwara United will get the maximum points against Gombe United come Sunday’s clash in the NPFL.
It was gathered that the Ilorin outfit arrived Gombe via a two day road journey on Friday night and a training session will hold Saturday evening ahead of their NPFL match-day 29 clash against Gombe United.
Although, Kwara United has not enjoyed a fine away form lately but defender Salaudeen is optimistic that his side will take all three points when they come visiting, stating how important the game is to them. “We know the importance of this game and we are going to give our best for us to beat Gombe United on Sunday,” Taiwo Salaudeen explained to Kwara United Media.
In the home fixture earlier in this campaign, Junior Lokosa and Alao Dabani scored both goals that gave Kwara United a 2-0 win over Gombe United and this has given the defender the morale that his side will settle for nothing less than three points.
The Harmony Boys have also previously won twice in League ties at the Pantami stadium.
Meanwhile, Kwara United are currently occupying fifth position on the NPFL table with 43 points from 28 games played while Gombe United sit comfortably on 9th position with 38 points from same number of games played.
