The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde expressed satisfaction with the Shooting Stars’ achievements in the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League.

The State Governor made the announcement at the Lekan Salami Stadium during the Oluyole Warriors’ season-ending match.
Makinde stated that all steps would be taken to ensure the team’s continental place next season.
“The team has made considerable progress in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), finishing in the fourth place compared to last season,” he said.
“As it is, there is room for the team to accomplish even more and we will go back to the drawing board to work towards our goal of qualifying for continental Championship next season.”
Shooting Stars ends their NPFL campaign in fourth position with 62 points.
