Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) sides, Enyimba, Rangers, 3SC and Insurance are scheduled to take part in a four-team tournament between December 1 and 4 this year.
The tournament has a N100 million prize money at stake.
The tournament, sponsored by Tingo Media, will hold at the Mobolaji Sports Complex in Lagos.
Head of Operations, Interim Management Committee (IMC), Davidson Owumi, explained that the tournament is a dress rehearsal to the 2022/23 NPFL season.
“This is a tip of the iceberg of what the IMC has in store for Nigerians in the league in the coming season.
“The tournament is the first of its kind in Nigeria and the four teams will play out for the big money in Lagos.
“I’m happy because the IMC has been able to put the tournament together and this is a prelude of what will happen when the league eventually begins.
“Everything has been put in place and Nigerians will see the best of everything in this tournament.
“We are working in tandem with the organisers to ensure everything is in place to make the tournament a good one,” said Owumi.
Enyimba, Rangers, 3SC and Insurance will earn an appearance fee of N10 million each in the four-day tournament.
