Sunshine Stars head coach Kennedy Boboye and Akwa United forward Sani Suleiman have won the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Manager and Player of the Month LBAs for May/June 2024.

Boboye’s outstanding efforts helped Sunshine Stars go on a five-game unbeaten streak from May to June, which was enough to keep the team from relegation.
Boboye also won two of his four games away from home, against Doma and Gombe United, putting him ahead of contenders Meremu Okara, Majin Mohammed, and title-winning coach Fidelis Ilechukwu.
Suleiman of Akwa United, who won the March edition, has emerged as the winner of the player category. He has scored five goals in his past six games to earn his second honor.
Throughout the month under review, Suleiman netted five goals, two of which were used to assist his team defeat Lobi Stars on the road and Katsina United at home. He ends the NPFL season as the only player to have won two LBA POTM.
