Lobi Stars midfielder Tamara Ezekiel has said that his side must defeat Kwara United to aid their chances of picking a super six ticket in Group A.
The youngster, who has been a revelation in the league this season explained that the Ortom Boys must get all three points in Ilorin to show they are ready to battle for a play-off spot.
“It’s an important game for both clubs. But for us, it’s a must win, even if it’s away from home,” Tamara stated.
“That’s the only way we are going to show our readiness for the super six. Everyone here is ready to give out their 110percent.”
Tamara also explained how his coach is motivating them for the game: “Coach Solomon Ogbeide gives us courage to do better. And he believes in us going to pick a point against Kwara United.”
Lobi Stars have a lot of work on their hands, as they are yet to win away from home this season and are fourth in Group A of the league standings.
Table-toppers, Enugu Rangers are seven points better than Solomon Ogbeide’s team, while third-placed MFM FC are one point ahead.
