Kwara United are through to the semifinals of the second edition of the NPFL LALIGA U15 tourney, following a 2-1 win over Makurdi-based side, Lobi Stars.
Lobi Stars got the breakthrough in the contest in the 22nd minute, before the Harmony Boys rallied their way to equalize courtesy Majeed Suleyman’s brilliant effort.
With the contest stocked at one-a-piece, Kwara United got the winner through Riliwan Abdullahi to secure their place in the last four of the competition.
Kwara United are hoping to emulate the achievement of their rival, Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC (ABS), so as to return the trophy to the state of Harmony.
Kwara’s stranglehold on the competition was established in the first edition won by ABS in 2017.
