Silver winning Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan U-15 team returned to Ibadan on Monday.
The team, which finished second in the just concluded 2022 NPFL/LALIGA Promise Youth League, held at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, was received on arrival by the management of the club.
At a very brief reception, held in honour of the players and their officials at the club’s Secretariat in Jericho, Executive Chairman of 3SC, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan (Akoro), congratulated the team for making the entire Oyo state and the club proud.
The chairman rolled out different plans the club intends to put in place towards ensuring that the boys excel in the round leather game, which includes, putting the team together for future purposes, with focus on their education pursuit.
He also assured that an elaborate ceremony would be held later, to celebrate the players with their parents expected to be in attendance.
Acting General Manager of the club, Dimeji Lawal, also praised the team for not letting down the state and the team, advising them to remain focus, assuring them of the club’s readiness to help build their career.
Earlier, the Director of Administration and Supply, Alhaji Rahman Olapade, said the brief welcome event, was organised to celebrate the players and their officials for their excellent performance at the cadet championship.
In their remarks, coach Ayo Adeyemo and team captain, Ganiyu Samad, appreciated the management reception as well as the entire Shooting Stars fans for their support.
The young Oluyole Warriors, it will be recalled, made it to the final of the annual competition where they lost 0-2 to host, Remo Stars U-15 team last Sunday.
