Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has commended Kwara United for picking a continental ticket urging the Harmony Boys to do well in the competition.
Governor Abdulrahman made this commendation on Thursday, August 5, after watching Kwara United beating visiting Katsina United 3-0 in the final game of the season.
Goals from Ayobami Junior, Michael Ohanu, and Stephen Jude gave Kwara United a perfect win over Katsina United at the Kwara state stadium, Ilorin.
Reacting to the result of the encounter, Governor Abdulrahman who was at the stands expressed happiness and enjoined Kwara United players to keep the winning momentum.
“I must commend you for this success, and I must also say that I am happy watching you today in which you impressed against your opponents.
“Congratulations on getting the continental ticket and I want to promise you all that we will support you for you to succeed in your coming games on the continent,” Governor Abdulrahman told Kwara United players.
The last time Kwara United played continental games was 14 years ago and Kwarans are now happy with this latest success.
Kwara United finished third on the final League table behind Enyimba and Akwa United.
