NPFL: Katsina United targets point in Oshogbo

Katsina United will face another acid test when they trade tackles against Remo Stars in in one of the NPFL match day 5 fixtures at the Osogbo Township Stadium after Remo Stars were banished to Osogbo for three home games due to fans violence.

This will be an advantage to the visiting Katsina United as their opponent will not be playing in front their fans.

‘The Changi Boys’ who are still basking in the euphoria of their 1 – 0 triumph over stubborn Wikki Tourists of Bauchi will go all out in Osogbo to ensure they pick their first away points from this crunch tie.

Coach Boboye Boys went all the way to Minna to savage a vital away point after forcing Niger Tornadoes to a goalless draw at Bata Kotangora Stadium in their last match. This result will serve as the necessary tonic for Remo Stars heading to this game.

Joshua Agboola, Sherif Bashir and Usman Barau are the few among the players that Katsina United will rely on to do the damage against a modest Remo Stars

Former Akwa United striker and skipper of Remo Stars Victor Mboama will have to be at his best today in order for him to win the fierce battle against the solid rock defenders of Katsina United in Timothy Danladi and Ajanah Chinedu.

Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa is among the squad that traveled to Osogbo and may likely make his debut today for ‘The Changing Boys’

Meanwhile, Destiny Ashadi who was a forced substitute in the last match against Wikki Tourists owing to injury, could not make the squad and has been replaced by former Rivers United midfielder Lukman Muhammed who did not dress against Wikki.

Lukman Muhammed told www.fckatsinaunited.com that his side will go all out to make sure they get away point in Osogbo

“We know Remo Stars very well, they will want to come all out in order to get the maximum point, but we will make it difficult for them as our sole target in Osogbo is to pick away point

“We have the squad that can go to any stadium and win,” he concluded

Katsina United lost to Remo Stars 2 – 0 in Ijebu-Ode in their first ever NPFL meeting during the 2016/2017 season
