Kano Pillars coach Usman Abdallah has cited Remo Stars early preparations due to their involvement in the CAF Champions League, is the reason for their good early season form as the Ikenne team defeated Kano Pillars 2-0 in Kano in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, week 3 match played on Sunday, Sports 247 reports.
Remo Stars make it three wins out of three as they have won all the three matches played in the 2024/2025 NPFL having defeated Abia Warriors 2-0 and Sunshine Stars 1-0 and on today’s 2-0 win in Kano , scoring maximum points , scoring five goals and they are yet to concede any goal to underline their all round solidity since the beginning of the season.
In a chat with the Kano Pillars Media after their 2-0 loss to Remo Stars, coach Abdallah posited that the involvement of Remo Stars on the continent, which has really helped their preparations which gives them the competitive edge.
“It’s a painful defeat for us, especially at home. Remo Stars have been well-prepared because of their continental commitments, while we are still building up. But I am confident we will bounce back and aim for maximum points in our upcoming games,” Abdallah said.
Remo Stars stopped Kano Pillars’ impressive start to the season as Remo Stars secured another away victory at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina, Pillars’ adopted home ground.
