Head Coach of Sunshine Stars, Gbenga Ogunbote has revealed his dissatisfaction over his team’s winless run following the stalemate goalless draw against Akwa Utd placing them in the relegation zone.
In an exclusive interview with sports247 after the draw, Ogunbote stated the need to take holistic decisions to get the team out of the mess.
“The important thing is that it is not that the team is not doing well but they cannot find the net, that has been our challenge and you know when a team is not winning, their confidence level will drop, so that is it.”
Picking out one of the standout performers who has deeply dropped in form talking about Sodiq Yusuf, the coach stated, “he is a sunshine stars player so he shouldn’t be singled out for not being in form, he is not exempted anyway.
On if the salary delay is a major factor to the team’s woes, Owing to the delay of salaries for up to 6 to 7 months, the coach revealed that the administrator will be in a better position to answer it as he is a coach.
