There has been a total of 106 matches across different venues this season, with 200 goals scored in the league so far. There have also been 14 away wins this season so far.
This further signifies an average away victory of 13.2% and approximately 1.88 goals per game.
Significantly, the most worrisome stats is the set-piece aspect which comprises penalties, corner kicks, throw-ins, and indirect /direct freekicks …Among the 200 goals, less than 10 came from direct or indirect freekicks ..depicting a lack of dead-ball specialists in the league…
Technically, freekicks (direct/indirect) are major sources of goals especially in tight games, and enhancing NPFL coaches need to do more in motivating, discovering, and strategizing practice sessions to improve the outcome of goals from freekicks.
Purposefully, with a 13.2% away game percentage this can be improved more when coaches set up more attacking formation’s in away games and focus less on defensive strategies…
Futuristically, with the right balance, the NPFL would attain major heights of development and productivity.
Let’s SUPPORT THE NPFL…
