NPFL: Boboye continues rebuilding process

Head coach of Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) Kennedy Boboye has said despite his side 2-0 victory today, the team is still under rebuilding process in the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) campaign.

The Sky Blue Stars defeated Katsina United 2-0 at the Oshogbo Township Stadium in Osun State after the NPFL organisers, LMC moved the team away from Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu due to crowd violence.

“The team is not yet there, we are still building as a young team that just came from the NNL but the idea of we being in the premiership is to gather points and play good football. I think we have not gotten there yet, we really need to go back and work very hard.”

“Katsina United is a good side, they have been together for a while but I think they have not just been on their right frame of mind because their coach was kidnapped for weeks and you won’t get anything from them but we all know they are a good side.”

“The pitch is not so good, it’s not a good pitch for any NPFL team but we don’t have anything to say than look for a good grassy pitch to play better.”

Meanwhile, Nigeria International Goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has applauded the players of Remo Stars FC and urged them to continue to perform well for their future sake.

“They have a good team, young players who are ready to do the job and I wish them the very best in their upcoming games, they should keep it up and continue to do well in their career.”
