NPFL: Anas Hattrick Not Enough As Elkanemi Warriors Hit Four Past Nasarawa United

It was a Saturday made for away teams as Nasarawa United lost at home despite Anas Yusuf scoring three times for the home, recording the first Hattrick of the season as Elkanemi Warriors defeated Nasarawa United 4-3 at the Lafia Stadium on Saturday, Sports247 reports.

Nasarawa United Started the game like a house on fire, firing to two goals lead within the first 20 minutes of the match through Anas Yusuf.

But Elkanemi in quick succession replied to the two goals and the scoreline was even at 2-2 just after the half mark in the match, through their wonderkid Salihu Nasiru who scored the two goals.

Elkanemi shot to the lead in the 35th minute through Amin and won the first half despite going down to a two deficit in the first half.

However, Yusuf Anas restored parity in the 67th minute to record the first Hattrick of the season but it was short-lived as Elkanemi Warriors restored their lead in the 89th minute from the penalty spot to record the fifth away of the three away wins of the season.

Earlier in the day, Rivers United recorded a 1-0 over Lobi Stars away from home as the Finidi George shot to the top of the log courtesy Kadiri Abubakar’s fine finish against the run of play which involved crisp exchange of passes between Rivers United which involves only seven touches from their half.
