Ahmed Musa has described his brace for Kano Pillars against Sunshine Stars FC last Sunday in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL as just the beginning of great things to come, Sports247 reports.
The Super Eagles forward made the headlines with his eye catching performance on Sunday before capacity crowd at the Mohammadu Dikko Stadium where Kano Pillars hosted Sunhine Stars.
It took less than six minutes for the anxious fans who tropped out in their numbers from Kano to Katsina and environs to jubilate as Ahmed Musa hit the back of the net from the edge of the box finishing a good team work from behind to put Kano Pillars ahead.
He got the second goal from a solo run down the right to the delight of the ecstatic fans who were applauding every move of the fast paced winger.
He didn’t disappoint his teeming fans as he had a good all round performance despite the fact the he missed from the penalty spot after winning the advantage, it could have been a hattrick for him.
In a reaction to his performance, Ahmed Musa took to his verified X handle to thank the Kano management for believing in him.
He then thanked the fans for their support and promise that they will see more from him, declaring ” this is just the beginning” of better things to come in the familiar colours of Kano Pillars.

Ahmed Musa joined Kano Pillars from JUTH FC of Jos as a youngster in 2009 and cut his teeth in the NPFL by scoring 18 goals, thus becomes the first player in the league to 18 goals in a seaon.
The feat won him, the highest goal scorer award in his debut season and also helped Kano Pillars to a second place finish on the log.
This announced his readiness for the big stage and then moved to Europe, joining VVV Venlo to set a remarkable football career for 31 year old with the highest number of FIFA World Cup goals for Nigeria
