Remo Stars makes it another three points on the road as they defeated Sunshine Stars 2-1 at the Dipo Dina Stadium on Saturday.

The result retained their spot at the top, gaining further advantage by opening 8 and 10 points gap ahead of closest title Shooting Stars and Rivers United as both team dropped point on Matchday 22.

Coach Emmanuel Amunike led Heartland to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Rivers United, piling more misery on coach Finidi George whose team is yet to win any game in the new year after a good run in the first stanza.

Ifeanyi Ihemekwede scored the lone goal to take his season tally to five, ironically he scored the winning goal at five minutes to the end of the first half.

Also it was a similar result and win for Bendel Insurance who defeated Katsina United by 1-0 to continue their push out of the relegation waters.

Kwara United also returned to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 victory over El Kanemi Warriors on a Monday night at the Kwara Sports Complex.
