According to confirmed multiple sources, the highly anticipated new season of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) is finally set to begin on Saturday, September 30, 2023, with eight matches scheduled to be played.
This is contained in a letter sent to clubs chairmen by the NPFL board on Monday.
Two matches involving Nigeria representatives have been postponed due to the continental engagement of Bendel Insurance and Rivers United.
In another development, it is also believed that each club in the NPFL will be given a takeoff grant of N10m before the league starts.
It will be recalled that the league has suffered postponement on three different occasions due to several reasons.
