Plateau United technical manager, Fidelis Ilechukwu has stated that the team want to win thier mid-week game against El-Kanemi Warriors on Wednesday although he knows that it’s going to be tough game.
The former MFM manager admitted that he knows that El-Kanemi Warriors are like a wounded lion who are not in a good position in the league and it will propel them to come all out but his team will prepare very well for the encounter, Sports247.ng reports.
Ilechukwu made this known in his post match reactions after his team’s nervy 1-1 draw against Remo Stars in Ikenne.
Plateau United who are the first team to pick the first point in Ikenne went into the break with a goal down, but the team grabbed a goal in the second half of the encounter to share the spoils.
“We are going to prepare for our next game very well knowing fully well that El Kanemi Warriors are not in a good position, they will come with everything to get a point but we will fight for three points at the end of the day,” Ilechukwu stated.
“In football, you have to be very well prepared because anything can happen.”
“We want to make sure that we push ourselves so much that in the first round, we will be in a comfortable position that will give us advantage of top three (3),” he concluded.
