Remo Stars goalkeeper, Kayode Bankole has revealed that his team wants to do better than last season ahead of the Nigeria Professional Premier League full kick-off.
The season officially kick started yesterday when Bendel Insurance won 0-2 away against Akwa United in Uyo in Group of the abridged league format.
Remo Stars played continental football last season after finishing third on 62 points but suffered early exit from CAF Confederation’s Cup, Sports247.ng writes.
Bankole has now said that the team wants to beat the best of last season as they are prepared to better previous season feats.
“My team will do better than what we achieved last season with good officiating and reformations already happening in the league, it’s what I’m expecting for my team.”
“We want more and we will go for it.”
