Rivers United striker, Nyima Nwagua has revealed that the team is fully prepared and ready to claim top spot in Group B ahead of home clash against Niger Tornadoes today.
The lethal forward allayed that the spirit in camp is very high as they are really motivated this season knowing fully well the task ahead as defending champions, Sports247.ng reports.
“Niger Tornadoes are no small side, they are on six points. We have to go out and get the three points so that we can get back to the top of the table where we truly belong,” Nyima posited.
“We aren’t underestimating any team but the mentality of the team is to win and stay on top. So, I don’t think right now we want to do something different from being on top and grabbing our three points.”
He further called on the fans support ahead of the highly anticipated encounter, “I’m urging the fans to come all out and support us, stand by us as they’ve been doing before and are still doing.’
“We know that by the end of the game, we will make them proud and keep making them proud,” he vowed.
