The match-day four encounter which pitched Niger Tornadoes FC and wounded lions Rangers Int’l of Enugu who were clearly in search of a first win of the season, were coming to Kaduna on the back of a two match ultimatum which put them in a tight rope.
The hosts, Ikon Allah Boys did it not left any stone unturned, as they began the encounter in search of an early goal even as Rangers back-line twarted all onslaughts posed at them, in what could be described as a tactical defensive masterpiece exhibited by the visitors through out the game.
The encounter which did produced any goal, saw Abubakar Bala Mohammed and his counter part Abdu Maikaba switched tactics, all in a bid to pull off a result.
Tornadoes however, had a penalty claim towards the dying moment of the game when new entrant Nurudeen Jimoh was pulled down in the box but the arbiters turned blind eyes, a decision that did not went down well with the home team’s bench and fans, but stood.
The result means Niger Tornadoes maintained her place (third) on the log while Rangers on the other hand remained second from button.
