Kwara United Football Club will file out against Gombe United FC at the Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan, as the Technical Adviser of the team, Coach Mohammed Abdulazeez expresses confidence in his team starting the season positively.
Speaking to newsmen after the team’s training at the Main bowl of the Adamasingba Stadium on Saturday, Coach Abdulazeez said he feels positive because of the mentality and spirit of the players.
“I feel positive ahead of tomorrow’s encounter against Gombe United FC because of the mentality and spirit of my players, and as well, our resolve not to disappoint our Supporters and Fans.
Reacting to the psychological preparations of the team despite playing home away from home, the former Katsina United handler said that the players are fully prepared, as they know what is at stake.
“We have put that behind us, and you know, we played our CAF Confederation Cup matches at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos and did well. Its a situation that we have to do with for now.
“Just like Ilorin and Lagos, Ibadan is also our home, and by His grace, we shall come out victorious against Gombe United FC tomorrow.
“The team has been consistent for more than two seasons now, and the target this season was to surpass the previous records.
“The government, the Commission, management, Supporters, Fans and the stakeholders have been supportive, and I think the best we could do is to reciprocate that gesture by turning in good results.
“The players know what is at stake, and they are ready. I want to use this opportunity to thank the government and our supporters. My message to them is to keep supporting us. We are not going to disappointment them’, he added.
