The chairman of the interim management committee, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye while speaking with the pressmen has assured league followers of improved officiating this season.
Elegbeleye said that he’s happy and excited over the officiating so far which has improved away from what we had witnessed in the last three seasons.
He also praised the fans for the attitude exhibited so far in the two weeks old league.
Elegbeleye further stated that the indemnity of referees has been increased by 50%, transport by 40% and these are paid 24 hours before any game and it’s paid directly into the referees’ accounts by the league partners.
As revealed, this will also take care of the feeding and accommodation as well.
The chairman in his statement further warned club chairmen to stay clear off referees and no form of inducement should be heard from them.
