The interim management committee (IMC) of the Nigeria Professional Premier League ( NPFL) has finally conducted the draws ahead of the 2022/23 season with Nasarawa United set to face Enyimba on matchday one in Group A.
As revealed, the league format will be an abridged league of two groups and the league season will kickoff in January 8, 2023.
Ahead of the league kick-off, the IMC chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye warned participating teams to shun any act of violence as the punishments are clearly spelled out for law breakers in the course of the league.
βAny club which engages in violent conducts will not be sanctioned with N500,000.00 as was the case in the past, but three points will be deducted as punishment.”
βWe know what it means to have three points deducted from points already earned by a club in the league,β Elegbeleye buttressed.

The New Season is Expected to Kick off on January 8th with a Super Six tournament to decide the Winner, the Top Three Teams From each Group would face off to decide the Winner.
The Winners of the League will go home with 100 Million Naira but every lub will get 10 Million Naira before the League Commences.
Referees Bonuses and Salaries would be paid directly into their account by Sponsors.
NPFL would be live on NTA but would be produced by a HD Streaming Company.
