The newly recruited Doma United striker Charlse Chibuke has expressed excitement after scoring Doma United’s first goal in the NPFL in his debut match for the Savannah Tigers.
Chibuke who met Usman Musa’s freekick to put Doma ahead in the 38th minutes of their encounter against Sunshine Stars on Sunday said he is happy to score and will look forward to scoring more “I feel very excited to have scored the first goal for this great club and I can’t wait to do more in order to help the club achieve its target. I really can’t wait to score more. That goal was God and I thank him for always been there when I needed him the most”.
The striker who is mostly compared to Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen because of their similar physique and style of play revealed that his first target for the season is to help the team succeed by scoring more and then topping the goal scorers chat at the end of the season “I always have a target but my first target for this season is to help Doma United succeed. My work is to score goals and I will work hard to do that in order to help the team. Also, my target is to be the best and highest goal scorer this season.”
Chibuke is in contention to make Coach Akinade Onigbinde’s starting lineup as they battle Niger Tornadoes in Kaduna on Thursday in their second game of the new NPFL campaign at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
Doma United is paired in group B of the abridged format league and are placed 7th on the log after being held to a 1-1 draw by Sunshine Stars in Gombe in match day one.
