Dakkada head coach, Umar Danlami has conceded that Wikki Tourists early lead in NPFL 2022/2023 midweek game yesterday ignited pressure on his team as they had to fight back to claim victory.
Dakkada FC were stunned in the early minutes of the game as the Tourists grabbed an early goal to put pressure on the Akwa Ibom based club but Danlami’s boys emerged as eventual winners with a 2-1 scoreline result.
“It was a very hard game though we expected it to be like that and generally the only goal changed the whole narratives. It was really hard, they came out and took thier chances and we took our own too,” Danlami said in his post match pressers and Sports247.ng reports.
“The game is a good one, you can have your own game plan but if it’s not really going well because of the early goal, we conceded a minute and some seconds which of course brought pressure on us and we had to rally round again to see how we can savage the match.”
“It’s not really a bad game because you are playing a team that’s coming to fight, that has lost at home and are here to give thier all so it’s a different ball game entirely.”
“I don’t look at it that we are going to round them up and take maximum points, I know it’s going to be difficult but then we did what we had to do and we took the day,” he concluded.
