Special Adviser to the Governor of Benue State on Media and Publicity, Mr. Terver Akase yesterday rewarded Joseph Atule as the Star of the Week 13 match between Lobi Stars and Abia Warriors on Sunday, April 9 at the New Jos Stadium in Plateau State.
Mr Akase in his goodwill message to Atule on his exceptional performance that gave Lobi Stars the maximum points over visiting Abia Warriors also thanked the entire players for their resilience thus far urging them to sustain the efforts until the stated goal is achieved.
The renowned journalist in his normal benevolence rewarded the Lobi Stars winger with the sum of twenty thousand naira (#20,000) as part of his contribution that would spur the lads to double their effort to ensure they secure the playoff ticket.
In his response, the award winner thanked Mr Akase for his unprecedented gesture and promised to do more for the club to succeed.
The former Katsina United dazzling winger also prayed God to reward Mr Akase in abundance.
Atule before emerging as the Star of the Match assisted Umar Abba in the opening goal before scoring the second goal of the match as Lobi Stars won the encounter 2-0.
He had recorded seven goal attempts, five shots on target and five successful dribbles.
Indeed, his movement on and off the ball unsettled the opponents through out the duration of the match.
