Chief coach of Nasarawa United, Abubakar Arikya is not giving up on Nasarawa United as he believes that the team can bounce back from the woeful beginning to the NPFL 2022/23 abridged league format campaign.
Arikya made this known following thier 0-1 loss to Bendel Insurance to compound more woes on thier miseries allaying that the team can still replicate last season’s form and league position.
“Not the result we wanted and not what we expected, Bendel Insurance scored with the only chance they had in the game, it was a very intense match but I know it’s football,” Arikya said in his post match interview.
“The team didn’t play as they played the last match but honestly, they tried. Now, we have to go and look at what we need to work on again.”
One win since the campaign began;
“It’s a very bad result, bad performance from the team but I’m hopeful that we will be back on track to overturn these poor results, we want to replicate our last season form and position.”
