Abdul Maikaba, head coach of Enugu Rangers has rued his team’s missed chances in thier defeat to Lobi Stars refusing to throw in the towel after back to back losses.
Enugu Rangers who haven’t won any game since the beginning of the NPFL 2022/2023 campaign lost 1-0 away to Lobi Stars but Maikaba is unperturbed about the defeat insisting that his team will come good, Sports247.ng understands.
“It’s unfortunate, we didn’t play to lose this game, we played very well, the boys played perfectly to instructions and I’m happy with the performance of the boys despite the loss,” he stated after the loss in his post match reactions.
“We conceded the goal against the run of play but all the same, we got our own chances but not lucky enough to have scored and that’s football for you but then, we will go and work for the next game,” Maikaba promised.
On his team’s back to back loss, “after two games out of 18 games, an abridged league, if a team can win these two games, I can still win the 3rd and fourth game. It’s so much possible.”
“I don’t see that as a problem as far as I see my team improving, I’m happy,” Maikaba stated.
