Newly recruited Lawal Muritala has revealed his excitement in joining NPFL side, Sunshine Stars vowing that he will give all his best to help the team succeed and achieve their goal.
The talisman plied his trade with Akwa Ibom based side, Dakkada FC but will now join up with the Akure based club following his successful move as they continue their NPFL 2022/2023 campaign, Sports247.ng writes.
“First of all, I want to say that I’m grateful to God for this new opportunity. I feel very excited and happy to be part of this great club it’s a big one for me and my family,” he remarked.
“Well, we’ve worked so hard during the pre-season before the league and that has helped us immensely.”
“Two away draw and a home draw as well but we’re looking forward to this weekend game against Abia Warriors to secure our first home win in front of the ‘Owena Waves’/Akure Gunners fans which is the most important.
On his target, “well my target is to help take the team to the ‘Super Six’ and play in the continent as well which last happened in 2012,” Lawal stated.
