MFM FC coach Christian Isiekwene has insisted his team will continue to work hard to improve after a share of the spoils with Niger Tornadoes in the NPFL on Wednesday.
MFM took a 14th minute lead through Richie Eguavoen, but were pegged when Adeniji Kabiru found the back of the net for the home side in the 36th minute. Neither side could come up with the winner and the result leaves MFM rooted in the league table on 15 points after 16 matches.
Christian is positive with the result and is confident his team will bounce back from their early season slump. He said: “It is through hard work. We will continue to work until we come out from where we are on the table.
“We are still a work in progress. This team is still coming up. Before now we have not not scored first in an away game. Against Enyimba we came from behind and in this game we scored first to show that there is improvement in the team. As the league goes on we will continue to improve on our performance.”
MFM are now unbeaten in their last four matches. They welcome Kwara United next on Sunday, March 6. Christian is promising victory and a good game for the fans.
