The Management of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, has showered encomiums on the supporters and fans of the club for coming out in large numbers, to cheer the team up during the matchday 14 encounter against Wikki Tourists.
Speaking on behalf of the Oluyole Warriors, the Acting General Manager of the club, Dimeji Lawal (MON), said the entire team appreciates the massive support rendered by the supporters and fans in the game.
Aside praising them for coming out enmass for the match, the 3SC management also praised the fans for their peaceful and mature conduct, before, during and after the match.
“We are really grateful to all our supporters and fans for coming out enmass to support us in the game against Wikki Tourists. The support was massive. We thank them for staying behind us right from the beginning to the end of the encounter.
“Even though the outcome of the game could have been better, they were behind us and demonstrated their unflinching loyalty and understanding of the game of football, that you can’t win all the time”, said the 3SC helmsman.
Speaking further, Kabongo, as the ex international is fondly called said the club is extremely proud of the proper conduct of the fans, who did not over react, even when they felt the referee took some decisions they believed were controversial.
While appealng to them regarding the points shared with Wikki Tourist on Sunday, he promised that the team will strive to get maximum points in the next match and also the desired results in subsequent ones, urging them to continue to stay with the team as the season progresses.
